When registering for a show or exhibit—to respect the time of the volunteers who take in registration, create the sign-in sheets, and create and print the wall tags for the venue—ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED after you submit your registration. Make all your decisions on which piece, title, and price BEFORE submitting your entry.
This venue can accommodate 3-D works.
Work must be original, conceived and created by the artist. Work exhibited in a previous judged Guild show MAY be exhibited in this exhibit. Artworks created in an instructional setting, including, but not limited to workshops and art classes, are not eligible for submission. No direct copying of stock images, historic photos, or of any reference to which you do not have permission from the photographer or holder of the copyright. However, using such images in a piece (e.g. collage) where those images have been significantly transformed is allowed.
Copies and reproductions of original works of art, whether embellished or not, are not eligible for submission. However, prints such as photographs, lithographs, woodcuts, engravings, etchings, screen prints, and digital works are acceptable as long as they are labeled as such.
NO narrative explanations or description of artwork may be included with the artwork. Words may be included as a part of the composition of the artwork.
Each member may submit one piece. All wall-hung entries must be dry and WIRED for hanging (NO other hangers accepted) with a label attached to the back of the artwork including your name, the title, media, and price. The Guild reserves the right to decline any work that does not meet the above requirements.
Please NOTE:All wall hung art submitted to any MMAG show or exhibit requires a WIRE for hanging. The hanging systems in our venues CANNOT accommodate loops, bars, sawtooth hangers, etc. Make sure the gauge (thickness) of the wire is strong enough to hold the weight of your piece. Art not following this requirement will be rejected from the exhibit
Liability and Insurance –MMAG will take all precautions to safeguard your work, but neither MMAG nor MICA Gallery can be responsible for the loss of, or any damage to, your work. You are responsible for insuring your artwork if you wish.
Sales and Commission – Works exhibited must be for sale and generally are expected to remain for the duration of the exhibit. Exception is a buyer who insists on taking a piece immediately. In that event, the artist will be expected to replace the piece within one week of notification of the sale. MICA Gallery will take a 30% commission on sold works.
Artists will be notified of sales after the exhibit closes and patron payment has cleared. Sale proceeds will be paid to artists within one week of the exhibit closing. Artists whose work is sold must provide MICA Gallery with a completed W-9 form (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf) at the time of getting their checks.
Registration – Registration is required prior to check-in for the exhibit and allows the committee to pre-print tags and plan for space requirements. No work will be accepted at check-in that has not been registered by the deadline. Sorry, no walk-ins.
Online registration and image file submission DEADLINE is 5 PM Thursday, September 10, 2026.
