MMAG Spring Membership Show 2021 – Neighborhood Empowerment Center (NEC), 600 W Maple, Lansing.

Eligibility / Exhibit Requirements – Open without a fee to members who have paid dues by March 24, 2021. If you have paid dues anytime from August 2020 through March 2021 your dues are good until August 2021.
2D and 3D works are eligible; no size restrictions. This is a judged show.
Work must be original, conceived and created by the artist, and not exhibited in a previous judged Guild show. Artwork created in an instructional setting, including, but not limited to workshops and art classes are not eligible for submission. No direct copying of stock images, historic photos, or of any reference to which you do not have permission from the photographer or holder of the copyright. However, using such images in a piece (eg. collage) where those images have been significantly transformed is allowed.
Copies and reproductions of original works of art, whether embellished or not, are not eligible for submission. However, prints such as photographs, lithographs, woodcuts, engravings, etching, screen prints, and digital works are acceptable as long as they are labeled as such.
Each member may submit 1 (one) piece. All entries must be dry and wired for hanging (NO sawtooth hangers) with a label attached to the back of the artwork including your name, the title, media, and price. The Guild reserves the right to decline any work that does not meet the above requirements.
Also, NEC reserves the right to decline any artwork they consider unacceptable. Work must be acceptable for all ages. (There is a Head Start program in the building.) Work must remain at NEC for the entire show.
Liability and Insurance – NEC and MMAG will take all precautions to safeguard your work, but neither can be responsible for the loss or any damage to your work. You are responsible for insuring your artwork if you wish.
Sales and Commission – Works do not have to be for sale. NEC does not take a commission on sales, but requests a 10% donation to the CAHP (Capital Area Housing Partnership) on any sales.
If you cannot make the posted times, please arrange for someone to deliver/pick up your work. No other times will be available. This is for minimum disruption of building business.
Work brought in early will not be eligible for judging. Artists whose work is left after pickup will not be eligible for the next MMAG show.
Registration – All work must be registered before check in. No work will be accepted at check in that has not been registered by the deadline. Sorry, no walk-ins. Registration allows the committee to pre-print tags, plan for space requirements, and is required prior to check-in for the show.

All registrations will receive a confirmation email.
For your safety, and to follow current Covid guidelines, drop off will be in the lobby area. Personal distancing, limited contact, and mask requirements will be followed.
