No PayPal account is required. Once you have clicked Pay Now, go down to the inconspicuous “Pay with Debit or Credit card” button to pay with your own card (past the “Pay with PayPal” login form and “NEXT” button). You have to give an email address to Check Out as Guest. PayPal still doesn’t want to let you go – once you fill in your credit card info, there’s another button “Save info & create your PayPal account” that is checked by default. UNCHECK IT, and then they’ll finally give a button to let you pay without being a PayPal member!
