Opening Reception: Saturday, June 1st from 1:00 pm –4:00 pm
This show will remain on exhibit through June 28th.

Eligibility / Exhibit Requirements – Open without a fee to members who have paid dues for 2018–2019.

All artwork MUST be 12×12″ SQUARE. This means the art image itself must be 12×12″;  the mat or frame is NOT to be included as part of the artwork. No hanging at an angle. Unframed gallery-wrapped with painted sides accepted; reasonable sized frames accepted; if work is matted, it must be square—up to 3″ each side mat accepted.

Work must be original, conceived and created by the artist, and not exhibited in a previous judged Guild show. Artwork created in an instructional setting, including, but not limited to workshops and art classes are not eligible for submission. No direct copying of stock images, historic photos, or of any reference to which you do not hold total copyright are allowed. However, using such images in a piece (eg. collage) where those images have been significantly transformed is allowed. 
Copies and reproductions of original works of art, whether embellished or not, are not eligible for submission. However, prints such as photographs, lithographs, woodcuts, engravings, etching, screen prints, and digital works are acceptable as long as they are labeled as such.

Each member may submit 1 (one) piece. All entries must be dry and wired for hanging (no sawtooth hangers!) with a label attached to the back of the artwork including your name, the title, media, and price. The Guild reserves the right to decline any work that does not meet the above requirements.

Also, Framer’s Edge reserves the right to decline any artwork they consider unacceptable. Work must remain at Framer’s Edge for the entire show and all work MUST be for sale.

Liability and Insurance – Framer’s Edge and MMAG will take all precautions to safeguard your work, but neither can be responsible for the loss or any damage to your work. You are responsible for insuring your artwork if you wish.

Sales and Commission – Framer’s Edge will take a commission of 35% on sales.

Exhibit Calendar

  • Sun, May 26 at Noon: Registration deadline
  • Wed, May 29th: Check-in 3:30–5:30 pm at Framer’s Edge
  • Saturday, June 1st : Artists Reception 1–4 pm.
  • Friday June 28th : Pick up work at Framer’s Edge, 3:30–5:30 pm

If you cannot make the posted times, please arrange for someone to deliver/pick up your work. No other times will be available. This is for minimum disruption of gallery business.

Registration – ALL WORK MUST BE REGISTERED BEFORE CHECK IN. No work will be accepted at check in that has not been registered by the deadline. Sorry, no walk-ins. Registration allows the committee to pre-print tags and plan for space requirements, and is required prior to check-in for the show. Registration DEADLINE is Noon on Sunday, May 26, 2019.
